Fun Fall Games for Kindergarten
Fall is here which means it's time for us to bring a little fall fun into the classroom! Incorporating hands-on activities into your instruction is an impactful way to keeps students engaged in learning and practicing the skills you're teaching them.
In this post, I share one of my favorite resources which includes fall games for kindergarten which are sure to keep learning fun this fall!
Hands-on Fall Games for Kindergarten
2D Shapes
This 2D shapes activity provide your students practice with recognizing shapes by the number of sides that they have. For this game, your students will spin a spinner to see which number of sides they are looking for. Then, they will find a shape on the recording sheet with that number of sides and color it in.
Missing Numbers
Students will roll the dot cube to choose a number. Then, they will choose a crayon to match the number on the dot cube. Students will then color in a haystack with the missing number and write the missing number on the blank.
Ten Frames
Students will spin the spinner to choose a ten frame. Then, students will count the number of spaces colored in on the ten frames. Students will find the number that matches on their recording sheet and color it in.
Counting Practice
For this activity, students will spin the spinner and identify the number shown. Then, students will find a matching set of pumpkins on the recording sheet and color it in.
Beginning Sounds
Students will roll the cube to choose a letter. Then, they will find a picture that begins with that letter sound. Students will color the picture using the color that matches the letter on the cube.
Ending Sounds
Your students will roll the dot cube to choose an ending sound. Then, they will find a picture that ends with the same sound. They will color the picture using the color that matches the tree on the cube.
Rhyming Practice
Students will spin the spinner to choose a picture. Then, they will choose a crayon to match the color shown on the spinner. Students will color in the picture that rhymes with the picture on the spinner.
